National Doctor’s Day
In India, Doctor's Day is observed on 1st July to mark the contribution by Doctors in taking care of our lives. This day is also meant to commemorate the medical industry and its advancements.
World Hepatitis Day
This day is observed to generate an opportunity to step up national and international efforts on hepatitis. Also, this day makes people aware of the deadly Hepatitis and the changes it can cause in one's life.
International Tiger Day
It is observed every year on 29 July to spread awareness about the need for the conservation of Tigers, promote protection of the natural habitat of tigers. This day is also known as Global Tiger Day.
International Friendship Day
Friendship Day was originally founded by Hallmark in 1919. It was intended to be a day for people to celebrate their friendship by sending each other cards. United Nations officially recognized 30th July as International Friendship Day. The power of friendship reaches out to all corners and cultures of the globe.
It's a chance to reach out to the old friends, new friends, and even those you see every day of the week, and do something that celebrates what their friendship means to you.
Kargil Vijay Diwas (Kargil Victory Day) is commemorated every 26 July, in honour of the Kargil War Heroes and India's victory over Pakistan. They ousted the Pakistani Forces from their occupied positions on the mountain tops of Northern Kargil District of Ladakh in 1999

INTERGENERATIONAL DIALOGUE BY NEW YOU CHILDREN

New You family organised a webinar on “Intergenerational Dialogue on Eye Care" where a panel of doctors from Sankara Eye Foundation discussed how children should take care of their eyes and prevent the ill effects of being exposed to the screen for long hours. The questions were very well framed by the children and their interaction with the Doctors was excellent. An extremely useful session for all. We thank the panelists Dr Meenakshi Swaminathan, Dr Kaushik Murali and Dr Rajesh for patiently answering our children.
